A few months ago I saw a interview about Yann Arthus-Bertrand on the Dutch TV Show. The interview went mainly about his personal life and new movie called: HUMAN. HUMAN is a collection of stories and images of our world. It shows the core of what it means to be human. Through these stories full of love and happiness, as well as hatred and violence, HUMAN brings us face to face with the other, making us reflect on our lives. From stories of everyday people and their experiences of the most unbelievable lives. The movie shows sincerity and underline who we are. It’s not only shows our darker side, but also what is the most noble in us, and what is universal to us. The Earth is shown at it’s most sublime through never-seen-before aerial images accompanied by soaring music, resulting in an ode to the beauty of the world, providing a moment to draw breath and for introspection. After the interview I was not only fascinated about the movie, but also about the Director; Yann Arthus-Bertrand! It took him a few years to make the movie and to film all (nature) images. The result is incredible! You see images and people from over the entire world. Everybody shares their story. If you think your life is not easy , you will surely learn how to relativize it, after you have seen this heart touching movie. HUMAN is a politically engaged work which allows us to embrace the human condition and to reflect on the meaning of our existence.
