I have participated at a photo shoot as makeup artist. The shoot was for the Top Model Contest Benelux. It was a gift from the organization, that was given to the winners and finalists of 2014 . The shoot was at The House Of Porters in Antwerp. The House Of Porters consists of; a shop, a showroom and a interior architecture desk, he continue to develop every year. Porters made a name for himself by prestyling and decorating hotels in Belgium and abroad. Master-decorator Pieter Porters began his career as florist. Soon as he asked he’s own flower shop, he was immediately ask to provide not only plants, but also furniture to houses and orangery’s. At the end he ended up to completely decorate the houses. In no time he became famous and sold worldwide thousands of copies of his first book: Geschikt en Gebonden (Arranged and Bound). After his first book, he wrote three more books. In the House Of Porters his philosophy: this means an abundance of elegance with a hint of decadence. For Pieter it means creating a stylish and sumptuous nest, where it’s cozy, where you want to touch things, where light scents and warmth adapt themselves to your mood. For him there are no rooms and hard colors, but warm timeless interiors that harmonize perfectly what the architecture of a house and will develop throughout a lifetime along with occupants. It has to be sumptuous, but also carefree, so that you don’t be afraid to make a : stain, dent or scratch. In his view an interior should serve the occupants and adapt itself to their mood: sometimes light and open, sometimes warm and secure. In Pieter’s words: A Way Of Living. The interior was amazing. I was astonished and everything seemed to beautiful to be true, but it was true :o).The clothes and makeup were adapted at the interior. Each room was decorated differently, but there was a cohesion.  It was a unique , creative and unforgettable experience.
