In December there opened a new Italian restaurant “Il Capriani” in Antwerp. I had already seen the restaurant and I wanted to try it out. This Saturday I made a reservation for me and my girlfriend, Jasmine. The restaurant was almost completely full when we arrived there around 7 pm. I was lucky, that I had made a reservation otherwise we had no place. Because the first floor was fully booked we were allowed to eat downstairs in the cellar. We sat at a high table. It was really comfortable and cozy. The menu was good, but limited. The prices were reasonable. It didn’t take long before we made our choice. I chose the” Tagliatelle with spinach and scampi” and Jasmine chose the “Ravioli with tomatoes and eggplant”. Of course a glass of prosecco couldn’t be missed;o)! The food came super fast and it looked like a work of art… DAZZLING! The food tasted nice and fresh. There were a lot of people in the cellar and the sound became unbearable :o(. In the end we only heard echoes and had to elevate our voices to talk. Unfortunately the serving size of the food was just too little. After our Il Capriani experience we decided to leave to a quieter place for a dessert.
