Being a make-up artist is one of my passions. In my spare time I work together with some photographers on different projects. One of the projects I recently worked on was the XL MODEL AGENCY CONTEST. The contest focuses on full-figured women and is organized by the XL MODEL AGENCY. In addition to other contests the XL MODEL AGENCY CONTEST spends a lot of attention to the well-being and “feel good in your own skin”. Being full-figured is unfortunately not accepted in our society and therefore many of women are missing self confidence. Often they get criticized and don’t dare to show themselves to the outside world. By intensive talks, workshops, photo shoots and group activities the candidates can built up their confidence. The XL MODEL AGENCY CONTEST go deeper into feelings and blockages (on questions that never have been answered).The candidates do not only reflect a beautiful image of themselves as a model, but they also give a better reflection of their inside. On behalf of the organization the candidates could participate voluntarily to a sixties pin up photo shoot. I had the honor to do the makeup and styling from the candidates. It was a very long day. In the evening I was exhausted. I was so tired that I could no longer stand on my feet anymore. But it was worth it! I am already looking forward to the next shoot ;o). It was a unique and unforgettable experience. I didn’t know what I had to expect. Full of excitement I have been waiting for the end result of the pin up sixties photo shoot and it was …excellent!
